Rugby fans got an extra special surprise when they arrived at Principality Stadium to find a genuine Monster Truck parked at the iconic venue.

More than 68,000 supporters visited the home of Welsh sport today for the family-friendly regional double-header, Judgement Day IV, which saw the Cardiff Blues take on the Ospreys followed by the Newport Gwent Dragons versus the Scarlets.

Thousands more are expected tomorrow for another bumper rugby event on the hallowed turf with Burry Port v Taffs Well in the SSE SWALEC Bowl Final at 1pm, local rivals Bedlinog v Penallta in the SSE SWALEC Plate at 3.15pm followed by SSE SWALEC Cup Final of Llandovery v Carmarthen Quins.

For all rugby visitors, Monster Jam® was in town offering a unique sneak preview of a genuine Monster Truck before the event roars back to town on Saturday 3rd September 2016.

Monster Jam will see world-class drivers compete in both Monster Jam truck racing and freestyle competitions. Combining high-octane, spontaneous entertainment with the ultimate off-road motorsport competition, the jaw-dropping displays will leave families on the edge of their seats.

With the best truck line-up ever assembled, the show will feature 12 of the world’s most famous Monster Jam trucks, including World Finals® champions Grave Digger® and Max DTM, providing an unforgettable experience for the entire family. You won't forget the first time you saw a Monster Jam truck defy gravity!

The larger than life spectacular takes place on specially-designed tracks that optimise mobility so the most recognisable trucks in the world can go head-to-head in wheelies, donuts, obstacle course racing and freestyle competitions pushing the trucks to their limits.

Families have been invited to have their photos with the truck and share content with Monster Jam fans all over the world on social media, using @MonsterJam @Principalitysta #MonsterJamUK
