The new Millennium Stadium Directors have taken their places this week – as their first Board meeting was held at the venue on Monday 2 February 2009.

Joanne Stanford (Group IT Director at The Alternative Hotel Group Ltd), David Collins (Secretary General of the Football Association of Wales Ltd) and Roy Thomas (Director of The Public Trust Partnership) were welcomed by David Pickering Chairman of Millennium Stadium plc – a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Rugby Union Limited.

The Articles of Association of Millennium Stadium plc provide that there can be a maximum of 11 Directors and that the ordinary shareholder (Welsh Rugby Union Limited) has the right to appoint a maximum of 6 Directors, whilst the special shareholder (Cardiff City Council) can appoint a maximum of 5 Directors.

The new members replace Stella Thomas, Lord Faulkner of Worcester and Helen Conway.
