Millennium Stadium madness took hold over Christmas as the millionth ticket for Take That’s ‘The Circus Live’ tour was snapped up by Jill Rees following the announcement of a first-ever additional concert date for the tour at Cardiff’s multi-event venue on Wednesday 17 June 2009.

Take That Presents: The Circus Live broke all UK box office records when tickets for the 14 date stadium tour went on sale last October and the announcement that the Millennium Stadium would play host to an extra date allowed ticket sales to soar over the 1 million mark.

Lucky Jill Rees will receive an exclusive VIP prize to include a hospitality box, hotel, food & drink and a commemorative disc that will be personally presented by the band on the day of the show.

A delighted Jill said: "We were excited enough just going to the concert but now we’ve got our own box and can meet the band…I’m speechless".

Take That added: "To sell over a million tickets and play 20 stadium dates is absolutely mind blowing…We’re all really looking forward to getting back out on the road again, and we’d like to say thank you to everybody who bought tickets."

Millennium Stadium chief executive Roger Lewis commented: “Selling the millionth ticket of the tour is a huge honour for the Millennium Stadium and we are delighted to be hosting the Take That show which will mark such a significant moment in the band’s illustrious history.”

Hospitality packages for the Wednesday performance are available from £179 (excluding VAT) via the hotline: 029 20822 410 / 413.
