Oasis will headline an all star bill at a Millennium Stadium concert on 10th December 2005 – and Stadium bosses look set to top that amazing coup with the news that this could become an annual event.’Noise & Confusion 05′ will be headlined by Oasis and feature acts including the Foo Fighters, Razorlight and The Coral at the Cardiff venue, with many more bands to be announced.

Event Organisers and Stadium bosses plan to make the mega concert, which will showcase at least seven different acts, into an annual end of year celebration for the Welsh Capital. This would mean the top acts in world music coming to Cardiff every year for the foreseeable future.

"We are starting to realise the potential of what we think is the best multi-event facility in this part of the world," said Millennium Stadium chief executive Paul Sergeant. "We offer what no one else can, with a retractable roof, removable pitch and arena curtain system and it comes as no surprise that world-renowned acts like Oasis are keen to play here.

"The front of house concert experience at the Millennium Stadium is second to none, whether we put on a capacity show or utilise the new Arena curtain to reduce the size of the venue.

"We offer everything you could ask for from a concert venue, and more, from both the fans’ and the artists’ perspective and we fully expect the list of top class events in our busy calendar to grow and grow.

"What better way to celebrate the end of 2005, a great year in the Millennium Stadium’s short but proud history, than with some of the top bands in the world coming to town? And to make it an annual, end of year, ‘Noise & Confusion’ event will be fantastic."

Many other exciting bands will be added to the bill over the coming weeks for what should be the biggest Christmas concert Wales has ever seen.

"This is already a sensational line up, and a superb opportunity to stage an annual end of year music event in Europe’s largest indoor venue," said a spokesperson for the event organisers. "It will involve a mouth-watering selection of established and up and coming live bands."
